Any plant or herb with a strong smell such as dill, rosemary, sage are good to plant with veggies to repel bugs. This is what I have alas read. I do plant various things in with garden veggies, as for tater bugs, I spray the heck out of them. The colorado potato beetles are really quick to develope an immunity to various toxins. Last week it was in the 80's...I hear ya Stella! Last week it was in the 80's and yesterday it was 42 and light rain. The forecast this week calls for mostly 50's and rain clear through thursday-friday. Hopefully it changes a bit by next weekend for the road trip.
